A Flock, Herd or Pride?

There are some odd collective nouns in English. A lounge of lizards. A Parliament of owls. Even a murder of crows.

They can be hurtful at the same time. I’m sure many buyers would be sympathetic to the wag on the internet who suggested the collective term for a group of consultants should be a billing. But it got us thinking – what is the best way to refer to a group of purchasers? An efficiency of buyers perhaps? Or how about a source of purchasers?

Let us know your suggestions.

  1. A ‘b-e-v-v-y’ of salespeople?

  2. I’d like refering to my troops as a ‘village’ of purchasers.

  3. I would like to think of procurement professionals as stars. Thus we are a ‘galaxy’ of buyers.

  4. a procuration of purchasers?
