Tidy profits
How tidy is your desk at the moment? If it’s anything like mine you are probably drowning in a sea of paperwork, but you might want to clean up if you want to win some business.
A recent survey by wall covering supplier Muraspec has revealed that two-thirds of buyers would struggle to do business with suppliers if their office was shabby or dirty. And more than half of the buyers surveyed wouldn’t trust a supplier with a shabby office.
Some buyers even said they would expect a reduction in price if their suppliers office was scruffy.
But surely this is just an issue for the supplier? As long as they deliver the goods on time, for a decent price, everyone should be happy and mind their own business. Is it really the buyers’ prerogative to start demanding how the supplier scrubs up?
