Full-page thank-yous
In Wednesday’s papers there was a full-page advertisement thanking the “employees and supply chain partners…who successfully delivered St Pancras International to the nation”. A nice touch from Corber the construction joint venture behind the project, to include their suppliers in such a public endorsement. The suppliers didn’t appear by name – there were undoubtedly thousands of them – but they know who they are.
Is this the way forward for supplier relationship management and could the reverse also work whereby the consortium behind a large civil project takes out full-page adverts in the nationals to “thank” their partners for failure to deliver on time on budget and generally having been a pain throughout?
