Soapbox: Rising above ‘greenwash’
In the current issue of SM, Kate Fryer, head of ethical print procurement at Ink Print Management, argues for closer working between business functions to improve ethical buying.
“Taking the lead with marketing when you have so much more in-depth product knowledge then becomes easy. If you can demonstrate you can make improvements without a huge price tag, everyone gets excited, especially at the top. My MD has made it part of the company mission to be the most ethical print buying agency in the world. I think he's even more keen than I am – he's always chasing me for updates and wants to get "hands on". This inspires those around you and cascades through the supply chain and customers will seek you out.”
Do you have examples of where your business has collaborated to improve sustainable procurement?
