Sophisticated supplier relationship management programmes may have appeared to previously be the preserve of larger organisations with the resources to appoint dedicated SRM managers and the capability to go beyond basic procurement techniques.
But it is certainly not one of those things that will be flung out of the window as buyers attempt to cope with a recessionary environment. Instead it will become more important to all businesses as they fight to survive.
