The curse of the ‘CrackBerry’
Reports this week suggest that Barack Obama has won the battle to hang on to his much-loved BlackBerry.
The new US president feared he would have to relinquish the email device because under law, any correspondence from the White House must be recorded in national archives. But Obama has secured a “compromise” that will allow him to keep in touch with staff and friends via email.
The device, which has been branded the “CrackBerry” because of its addictive qualities, is also popular among buyers. Many have spoken to me about how they can barely be parted with their BlackBerry’s for fear of falling behind on correspondence with suppliers and colleagues. Some have even admitted to taking them on holiday to send emails from the beach.
Are you a “CrackBerry” addict?
What are your emailing habbits?
