In a story from the latest issue, Jamie Hindhaugh, head of sourcing for production resources, logistics and operations at the BBC calls on buyers to be “bullish” to get senior management to approve new procurement strategies.

He says if purchasers have problems convincing stakeholders to agree to a new purchasing policy, they must keep pushing, otherwise they are on a “hiding to nothing”.

Could buyers be more forceful with senior managers?

Are you “bullish” about introducing new purchasing strategies?
