Change is constant
Whatever your situation at work at the moment, change is bound to be part of it. In fact, it’s probably part of it all the time to a lesser or greater extent, which is why Alan Stevens’ advice about change management should come in handy at any time.
In the latest issue of the magazine, he explains that a period of upheaval – when handled correctly – can bring benefits for your organisation.
Stevens says the four key things to do are: point out how the change will benefit individuals or the organisation as a whole; be clear about what is changing; anticipate people drawing incorrect conclusions about the change; and make the change as easy as possible to accomplish.
